Using MiraHEN (Homebrew ENabler) on 5.05 systems
PS4 "Jailbreak" requires very little to execute however it is not a permanant solution as it will be lost if you power down the console. In the event that the DNS goes down it is possible to self host the exploit (see section "Steps for hosting the exploit"). Before continuing you'll need to update your PS4 to firmware 5.05 if you haven't alrady. A USB drive with 500MB of free space is required.
- Download 5.05 firmware here (MD5: f86d4f9d2c049547bd61f942151ffb55 ) and rename it to "PS4UPDATE.PUP
- On your USB create a folder named "PS4". Inside that folder, create another folder named "UPDATE". Place the "PS4UPDATE.PUP" file inside the "UPDATE" folder.
- Connect the USB storage device to your PS4™ system, and then from the function screen, go to Settings" > "System Software Update".
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
- If you have a pending 5.5x update boot into safe mode by turning on the PS4 while holding the power button until you hear a second beep. Use the "3 Update System Software"
